Bizmatics received White Coat of Quality distinction for its dedication to continuous quality improvements and its commitment to providing a safe and efficient e-prescribing process where all pertinent medical data is available at the Point of Care The award is part of Surescripts’ overall quality program, which aims to achieve 100% reliability of e-prescribing.
E-prescribing allows physicians to electronically transmit prescriptions and receive renewal authorizations. It is rapidly replacing paper and faxed prescriptions and is meant to reduce healthcare costs, increase efficiency and improve patient safety. E-prescribing is also a core component of Meaningful Use. “Meaningful Use” is a set of standards defined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) EHR Incentive Programs that eligible hospitals and providers must meet in order to qualify for federal incentive payments. Bizmatics is ONC-ATB and CCHIT certified for Meaningful Use. Bizmatics is also certified by Surescripts for complete e-prescription functionality support.
Electronic prescribing is a vital component of Bizmatics’ medical software, with more than 1,000 physicians using its e-prescription service to write tens of thousands of prescriptions each day. This is the second consecutive year that Bizmatics has earned the White Coat of Quality distinction. Moving forward, Bizmatics will continue to focus on improving safety and quality of care, as well as raising prescriber awareness through e-prescribing training.
