PrognoCIS EMR Compliant with ONC 2014

January 30, 2014: Bizmatics announced today that PrognoCIS EMR v3.0 is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR on January 22, 2014 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HSS). The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The CCHIT certifies this Complete EHR for the use by Eligible Providers (Ambulatory), in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the  Secretary of HHS. The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that Complete  EHRs meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria approved by the Secretary of  Health and Human Services (HHS) for eligible provider technology. PrognoCIS   EMR v3.0 certification number is CC-2014-697871-1.

“CCHIT congratulates companies successfully achieving EHR technology certification,” said Alisa Ray, executive director, CCHIT. “These companies are now able to make their products available to providers wishing to adopt health IT to demonstrate  meaningful use and earn Stage 1 or Stage 2 incentives.”

Testing was conducted using Health Information Technology: Standards, Implementation Specifications, and Certification Criteria for Electronic Health Record Technology, 2014 Edition; Revisions to the Permanent Certification Program for Health Information Technology (45 CFR Part 170, RIN 0991-AB82), October 4, 2012, and test procedures developed by ONC.

“We expect 2014 ONC HIT certification will further distinguish the best EMR software currently in the market, “said Vinay Deshpande, CEO of Bizmatics, makers of PrognoCIS. “In this release, we have added many User Interface changes to further enhance user experience. As an extra measure, we incorporated usability testing with both users and non-users; we received good responses in both instances.”

The additional types of costs that an eligible provider, hospital or critical access hospital would pay to implement PrognoCIS EMR v3.0 in order to attempt to meet Meaningful Use objectives and measures include monthly support and subscription fees; fees for integrations. There’s a monthly subscription fee for problem and procedure codes, drug information data, and ePrescribing.

The clinical quality measures to which PrognoCIS EMR v3.0 has been certified include: CMS69v2, CMS126v2, CMS138v2, CMS1466v2, CMS154v2, CMS155v2, CMS156v2, CMS165v2, and CMS166v3.
