CMS Updates 2020 MIPS Performance Feedback and 2022 MIPS Payment Adjustments. Targeted Review request deadline October 1, 2021
CMS has corrected MIPS scoring logic which resulted in changes to performance feedback, including 2020 final scores and 2022 MIPS payment adjustments.
In response to the Targeted Review Requests received for 2020 MIPS Performance Year, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has corrected 2 issues so that final scores align with CMS policies.
Steps to View Your 2020 MIPS Performance Feedback Results:
Clinicians can access their 2020 MIPS performance feedback, 2020 final score, and 2022 payment adjustment information by:
- Login to cms.gov/login using their HCQIS Access Roles and Profile (HARP) system credentials.
These are the same credentials that allowed clinicians to submit MIPS data.
When to request a Targeted Review
A targeted review can be requested until October 1, 2021, if clinicians believe an error was made in their 2022 MIPS payment adjustment calculation.
Request a targeted review, access your MIPS final score and performance feedback and request a targeted review by:
- Login to cms.gov/login using their HCQIS Access Roles and Profile (HARP) system credentials.
