HIE integration allows healthcare professionals to easily access and securely share a patient’s health information. These interfaces help in the seamless exchange of Personal Health Information (PHI’s) across healthcare communities – hospitals, labs, community clinics, physician practices, and service providers. The goal of the HIE is to securely deliver health data to the right place at the right time leading to timely and efficient patient care.

CRISP: CRISP is a regional health information exchange (HIE) serving Maryland and the District of Columbia. They have been formally designated as Maryland’s statewide health information exchange by the Maryland Health Care Commission. CRISP offers a suite of tools aimed at improving the facilitation of care for their region’s providers.
