Yes, patients can request a Telemedicine type of appointment via the patient portal

Yes. The PrognoCIS patient portal app is available on the Google Play Store and on the Apple App Store as the ‘My Health Records’ App. Also, patients can join, TeleVisits from the app. In that case, the patient does not need to download Zoom separately.

The address listed on the claim is the office location the doctor was sitting at when utilizing telemedicine. The place of service code is 02.

I recommend using the patient portal for paperwork and consent forms. Have the patient log into their portal, fill out the paperwork, and save it so it sends it back into PrognoCIS and into the encounter for the provider to review.

“For patients, we would recommend that they click on the link provided via the email or text notification that they would receive once we book the appointment.
For the provider’s computer, you do not need to necessarily have Zoom installed unless you would be conducting meetings outside of PrognoCIS. In that case please install ‘Zoom Client for Meetings'”

Any tablet device on which Zoom can be installed and has a video camera can be used.

Yes. It is possible to start the video visit at a later time. By default, when Telemedicine is set up for you, you or your patient can join the video meeting 15 mins prior to the scheduled time(this can be set to any number between 1 min upto a maximum of 30 mins). Meaning, if the appointment is scheduled for 08:00 AM, both you and your patient can join anytime after 7:45 AM. The icon will continue to be available throught out the day. This means, you can click and join at 11 AM as well. However, please note that the icon will be disabled once the date changes. In essence, once it is 7:45 AM, the icon will remain enabled for the entire day and can be clicked any time on the same date.

No. Multiple patients will not connect at the same time. If the provider is already on a meeting with a patient, any other patient who tries to join the meeting will be on hold( in queue). In fact, any patient joining will be in the queue till the provider joins their meeting.

If you have successfully completed a video consult, you may bill for the same.

Yes, if you do not have speakers connected to your desktop, you can use a headset with a mic to listen to the patient and speak to them.

We are working on making obtaining a consent a part of the Televisit. As of now, we would request you to please use the record option while you are on the Televisit and get a verbal consent from the patient before you begin the visit. These recordings can be accessed by you via your Zoom pro account. Here is the link to all instructions to access these recordings: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/205347605

We recommend that you have a separate Zoom pro account for every provider who intends to use Telemedicine. To answer your question, yes two simultaneous Televisits can be conducted as long as the two providers have two separate Zoom accounts.

There is no waiting time. For example if you receive the patient call at 9:40 AM, you can book the appointment for 09:40 Am and start the video meeting immediately.
