Today’s rapidly changing information technology is presenting tremendous opportunity to provide quality healthcare to all in a timely and affordable manner. The entire ecosystem of healthcare delivery is undergoing a major transformation. Cloud computing, image processing, centralized data capturing, machine learning and AI, IoT, and mobile computing are some of the technology enablers that play a major role in this transformation. These technologies enable the efficient delivery of care and progress across some of the most critical areas like remote monitoring and home health care, telemedicine visits. They help foster collaboration across the entire healthcare platform – between patients, clinic, employers, attornies, referring providers, etc resulting in creating a higher patient engagement. This collaboration is in addition to the already existing enterprise solutions for Labs & Imaging, e-prescription, health information exchange (HIEs), and many more. AI and machine learning are opening more avenues in terms of accuracy of diagnosis through predictive analysis and man-machine collaboration.
New, easy and intuitive User Interface (UI)
EHR systems which are architected to handle these newer paradigms and technologies will thrive and succeed. PrognoCIS is one such product which is ready to take advantage of these new technological waves. In 2019, we are working on a number of initiatives to leapfrog the competition and to continue our efforts in enhancing the patient-provider relationship and the quality of care delivered. Our customizable workflows are admired by our clients but we are continuously working to revamp it to a new user interface keeping the basic workflow intact. The new UI will make use of the latest UI techniques and widgets. The company will roll out these changes from March onwards.
Our Strength: Medical Billing, Medical Specialties and Telemedicine
Billing Services is another area of major focus for PrognoCIS this year. We are building multiple components to help grow our revenue cycle management services. We are currently strengthening our delivery team to cater to a large customer base.
Apart from our strength in Pain Management, we are also focusing on niche specialties such as Occupational Medicine. Occupational medicine has tremendous scope and multiple applications – Employee Health, Worker Compensation, Employer protocols, Employer portal, Drug randomization testing, and case management. PrognoCIS supports most of these robust features effectively and efficiently. With these functionalities, we can be counted as one of the leading EHR’s for providing Occupational and environmental health services for both internal and external clinics. Telemedicine is yet another area where we are making inroads. We already support substantial Telemedicine functionality such as Video conferencing, mobile portal for patients, credit card payment from mobile platform etc. And we have significant development plans to enrich and promote this very important platform.
Continued Support for Continued Care
We continue to support MACRA, MIPS for our customers and making sure that we keep our customers up to date with 2019/2020 requirements. We continue to support all measures and interface with registries. In addition, we take data security and HIPAA compliance very seriously. Data encryption, two-factor authentication, a comprehensive audit trail for all the portals, are some of the measures we have worked on so far this year.
PrognoCIS promotes a Futuristic Vision
In the coming year, we will be releasing our first AI solution using Natural Language Processing (NLP). The solution will enable us to digitize millions on faxes and scanned documents for our customers and make them available for searches. As the next phase of this work, we will identify and extract clinical data from these documents and make it available for our providers. This will also enrich our customer databases and will be one of the initial steps in building a large de-identified clinical database. This can be put to use for various AI solutions in the future.
We are very excited about the opportunities we are continuing to create here at PrognoCIS – making it in an EHR that is for the doctors and by the doctors.
